DESCRIPTION
- Evolution Powersports offers the first factory ECU Rolling Launch Control for the Maverick R.
- Purpose: an ECU program that creates 20-22 PSI in the charge tube while holding engine RPM. Use it as launch control while the vehicle is moving.
- Difference from factory anti-lag: anti-lag prevents turbo decay and shortens spool time but is not intended to create positive charge-tube pressure.
- Tested results: quicker time to RPM and MPH vs non-RLC. On the same car/tune in Sport+ (anti-lag), RLC was 1-2 tenths faster from 5500 to 7500 RPM and about 5 MPH faster one second into the run.
- Operation: typically in manual, 2nd or 3rd gear, Sport or Sport+ mode, with engine RPM between 5000 and 5500. Engage via the EVP steering-wheel button (HERE) or by lighting the brake lights then quickly pressing the gas to the floor — pedal must be at 100% to engage. It takes about 1 to 1.5 seconds to build 20+ PSI; typically engaged on the #2 count.
- Availability: add-on tune for Maverick R and Maverick R MAX.
Optional Launch Control Button: EVP's Steering Wheel Launch Button for instant engagement.
