DESCRIPTION
The EVP TAPP Primary replaces the OEM three-arm clutch on the Kawasaki H2. Built for the H2's high-revving engine, it improves adjustability, belt life, smoothness, and responsiveness. Calibrations are included for Stock, EVP Stage 3-91, and Stage 4-100 tuning with 2200 RPM and 3000 RPM engagement. Compatible with the stock secondary clutch or the recommended TAPP Secondary.
- Roller spider design: less friction in the movable sheave for quicker response.
- Center bearing: black nitrate coating to reduce friction and resist corrosion.
- Larger roller: increased from 2mm to 3mm for improved bearing longevity.
- Post: more material and updated heat-treat to prevent clutch slip when over-torqued.
- Moveable sheave: reinforced towers for greater load capacity.
- Clutch cover: billet cover with larger windows to accept additional weight.
- Fan blade kit: included to lower clutch operating temperature.
- Includes: full standard weight kit plus tungsten TAPP Clutch Race Weights (set of 8).
CLUTCH CALIBRATION GUIDE
There are four main adjustable components:
- Ramp Profile: shipped with pre-chosen ramps. Only experienced tuners should change this.
- Ramp Angle: adjusted externally via Quick Shift Bolts. Higher numbers raise RPM. Always adjust in pairs across from each other to avoid imbalance.
- Roller Size: three sizes available. Larger rollers quicken low-end and lower full-shift RPM; change rollers in pairs.
- Weight Adjustment: set screws in the arms and washers on the roller bolt. Add weight to lower RPM, remove weight to raise RPM. Adjust evenly in pairs to prevent imbalance or failure.
