Can-Am Defender HD10 TAPP Roller Primary Clutch Kit by EVP

DESCRIPTION
The Roller Spider replaces the button spider to reduce friction with the movable sheave. Benefits: better belt grip, lower belt temps, longer belt life, and smoother engagement.
UPDATED FEATURES:
- ROLLER SPIDER DESIGN: Less friction in the movable sheave for quicker response.
- CENTER BEARING: New black nitrate finish for increased hardness, corrosion resistance, and reduced friction.
- POST: More material and updated heat treatment to allow over-torquing without clutch slip.
- MOVEABLE SHEAVE: Added material to reinforce clutch towers for higher load capacity.
- CLUTCH COVER: Billet cover with larger windows to accept additional weight without modification.
EVP calibration is tuned for the stock Defender secondary. Expect bolt-on responsiveness: faster acceleration, higher top speed, stronger zero-to-40 pulls at higher RPMs, and virtually no clutch chatter. Cooler operation and adjustable weight profiles let the clutch adapt as power increases.
ADDITIONAL FEATURES:
- DURABLE PERFORMANCE: Billet and high-tech materials for extended clutch life.
- ADJUSTABLE & VERSATILE: Swap two-sided ramps, adjust clickers externally, change roller mass under the cover, and use a variety of springs for tuning.
- COOLER TEMPS: Improved venting and multi-angle sheaves lower belt temperatures.
- INSTANT THROTTLE RESPONSE: Low-inertia design and curved sheaves improve belt grip and response.
- SMOOTH, QUIET OPERATION: Ramp-based arms reduce vibration compared to traditional flyweights.
Disclaimer: EVP tech support is provided only for TAPP clutches purchased from EVP. Calibrated primaries may require minor tuning changes; see instructions or contact EVP tech.

CALIBRATION GUIDE
There are 4 main adjustable components:
- Ramp Profile: Ships with pre-chosen ramps. Do not change unless experienced.
- Ramp Angle: Adjust via Quick Shift Bolts. Higher numbers raise RPM. IMPORTANT - always adjust angles in opposite pairs to avoid imbalance.
- Roller Size: Three sizes: standard, +1mm, +2mm. Larger rollers quicken low-end shifts and lower full-shift RPM; smaller rollers slow shifts and raise full-shift RPM. IMPORTANT - change rollers in opposite pairs.
- Weight Adjustment: Use arm set screws or washers on the roller bolt. Add weight to lower RPM; remove to raise RPM. IMPORTANT - adjust evenly in opposite pairs.
