Polaris limits throttle opening on the 2017 Ranger 1000 to less than 30%. We reprogram the ECU to allow 100% throttle, revise timing, and raise rev and speed limits. Fan-on temperature is lowered by 20 deg F and can be adjusted per customer.
Send your ECU to our Somerset, WI facility for reprogramming. Pre-flashed ECUs are available for additional cost. Flashing Dealers can also program ECUs.
NOTE: The 2017 Ranger 1000 is clutched for a 6500 rpm shift. This is FAR too low to get maximum performance from this engine. The Prostar twin makes best power at 7900-8000 rpms - therefore clutching is HIGHLY recommended.
