Key features include a large, easy-to-read display, programmable controls, and an intuitive interface. The package comes with an Accessory Hub, providing remote access to programming cable connection and a 3.5 mm external speaker output. The Rugged G1 has a Rugged Ready port for expansion with various accessories, from intercoms to headsets. The radio employs a Mitsubishi Transmit amplifier and a clear-hear Superheterodyne receiver, offering a stable transmission power of 41.4 Watts.
