DESCRIPTION
NEW EVP TAPP CLUTCH UPDATES (2024):
- Roller spider design reduces friction in the movable sheave for faster, smoother engagement and improved belt grip.
- Center bearing with black nitrate coating adds hardness, resists corrosion, and lowers friction.
- Larger roller increased from 2mm to 3mm for improved bearing longevity under high load.
- Post strengthened and heat-treated to prevent clutch slip on the shaft when over-torqued.
- Moveable sheave reinforced with added material for greater load capacity.
- Billet clutch cover has larger windows to accept extra weight without modification.
KEY FEATURES (CONDENSED):
- Calibrations cover stock through EVP Dynomite (DM) and Desert Storm (DS) turbo upgrades.
- Calibrated for use with the EVP STM Tuner secondary clutch or OEM secondary with EVP internals (Shift-Tek Helix and Spring).

CALIBRATION GUIDE
There are 4 main adjustable components in an EVP Spec TAPP Clutch:
-
Ramp Profile — Pre-chosen ramps provided. Changing profile affects shift behavior; recommended only for experienced tuners.
-
Ramp Angle — Adjust via Quick Shift Bolts. Higher number = higher RPM. Always adjust in pairs across from each other to avoid imbalance.
-
Roller Size — Supplied with a predetermined size. Available: standard, 1mm oversize, 2mm oversize. Change in pairs; mismatched sizes can cause imbalance.
-
Weight Adjustment — Use set screws in the arms and washers on the roller thru bolt. Add weight to lower RPM; remove to raise RPM. Adjust evenly in pairs to prevent failure.
