Description
DESCRIPTION
Your EVP.MOde Spec TAPP clutch includes a set of (4) pre-chosen ramps. Each ramp has an 'A' profile (lower engagement) and a 'B' profile (higher engagement). Changing ramp profiles alters shift behavior, engagement RPM, and back shift. Only experienced tuners should perform these changes.
- 1328: For snowmobile use. High engagement on B side (similar to 1339B).
- 1335: For trail and bush riding. B side raises engagement.
- 1338: Aggressive shift profile for high-horsepower cars. B side has a higher engagement convex profile.
- 1339: A side matches 1338A. B side is high engagement with a concave profile for big-boost, high-horsepower cars.
IMPORTANT - Always adjust ramp profile in pairs across from each other to avoid imbalance.
- Flipping 2 ramps from 'A' to 'B' will increase engagement roughly 600-800rpm.
- Flipping all 4 ramps from 'A' to 'B' will increase engagement roughly 1200-1600rpm.
Adjusting Ramp Angle: Ramp angle is adjusted externally with the Quick Shift Bolts. Higher numbers increase RPM. This mainly affects full shift speed and slightly affects engagement and low speed. Each ramp has its own quick clicker with (6) adjustments. Each click changes 25 RPM but must be done in opposite pairs to actually add/subtract 50 RPM.
IMPORTANT - Always adjust the ramp angle in pairs across from each other to avoid imbalance.
